The Vinacciere—a tough profession tied to the sea and trade, to legends and good fortune, born from a tradition as ancient as our history.
The Vinaccieri traded wine using a boat called Leudo, sailing from the Cinque Terre all the way to Elba Island, Corsica, Sardinia, and even Sicily…
Listening to old stories and writing new ones, today the last Vinaccieri, Andrea and Daniele Ballarini, carry on this seafaring tradition, innovating while preserving its continuity, with the only Leudo still in operation: the "Nuovo Aiuto di Dio."
A perfect example of this legacy is the wine aged in Europe’s oldest copper mine in Masso, near Sestri Levante, or the fine craft beers, created from secret recipes infused with native wild herbs, thanks to a collaboration with Elisa and Simona and their Val di Vara brewery.
Standing out for its excellence is Ninkasi, the world’s first beer containing 23-carat gold.

Our Vermentino, crafted from a carefully selected selection of the finest grapes from the Colli di Luni, is truly exceptional. Undoubtedly one of the absolute best in our region, it is bold and dry.
N.D. Stella Maris (vino del Leudo in barrique sottomarina) – I Vinaccieri – 32,50
It was born from the adventure of the last Leudo, Nuovo Aiuto di Dio, which in 2012 resumed wine trading after fifty years of inactivity, once flourishing especially with Elba Island.
In memory of the shipwreck of its predecessor, which, loaded with wine, unfortunately drifted too close to the coast and ran aground on the shallows of Vada, the Vinaccieri Andrea and Daniele placed a series of oak barrels in the sea. The combination of the sea, the wood, and six months of aging has bestowed the wine with precious new notes, enhancing its structure and savoriness.
N.D. Bianco della Miniera (vino del Leudo in anfora etrusca) – I Vinaccieri – 32,50
Once again with the Leudo, but this time using an amphora crafted in the style of the Etruscans. This wine, during its aging in the copper mine of Masso (the oldest in Europe), develops a pronounced minerality. Its aroma recalls flintstone, offering an excellent drinkability, further enhanced by its time spent in such a unique environment.

Bolle – Vino Spumante Extra Dry – I Vinaccieri – 24,50
A delightful white sparkling wine made using the Charmat method. The blend is a careful selection of Pinot and Chardonnay grapes, chosen by the expert Vinaccieri Daniele and Andrea. Refreshing and lively.
Kava – Vino di Miniera – metodo classico – I Vinaccieri – 30,50
Once again from the Vinaccieri Daniele and Andrea: a Pinot Noir crafted using the classic method, a truly unique wine.
It undergoes 36 months of aging on the lees, followed by an additional 12 months in the ancient copper mines of Masso, the oldest in Europe, near Sestri Levante.
During its refinement at a constant temperature of 14°C, in total darkness and pure air, its distinctive characteristics develop: an enveloping taste with notes of vanilla and bread crust, a straw-yellow color, and an intense perlage.
Kaligo – Vino spumante brut – metodo classico non filtrato – I Vinaccieri – 28,50
Once again from Pinot Noir grapes, sparkling using the classic method, but this time unfiltered, giving it a naturally cloudy appearance. Genuine, as it has not undergone any additional processing.
On the nose, it reveals notes of fresh fruit and delicate, fragrant hints of bread crust. Harmonious on the palate, with a fine and persistent perlage.
Letargo – Vino di Miniera – Pinot Nero – metodo classico rosé – I Vinaccieri – 32,50
A rosé crafted using the classic method, naturally from Pinot Noir grapes, aged for over 10 years in the Bossea Caves in the province of Cuneo—hence its name. And what can we say… it woke up beautifully!
With an unexpectedly fresh and vibrant taste, it pairs perfectly with all our Carloforte and Ligurian seafood dishes.

The Vinaccieri and their Leudi were always in search of the finest wines, so a sweet wine could not be missing… From the Cinque Terre for Sciacchetrà, to Elba Island for Aleatico, and in this case, to Sicily for the best fortified Malvasia in the world…

A red wine made from Sangiovese grapes, perfect for the entire meal—honest and genuine, carefully selected by the Vinaccieri, who are always committed to offering the best to their guests.
It originates near the borders of Oltregiogo, a land that was once part of our region. It pairs beautifully with all meat-based dishes, but can also accompany tuna or more elaborate fish dishes.
Navigato Rosso – I Vinaccieri – 22,50
From Ciliegiolo grapes and other native vines comes this pleasantly complex red wine, characterized by a moderate body that balances both bold and delicate notes. This makes it a perfect match for traditional Ligurian dishes, whether meat- or seafood-based.
Rosso della Miniera – I Vinaccieri – 24,50
The first of our red wines aged in a mine. Made from Sangiovese grapes, this wine is aged in bottles within the ancient copper mine of Masso, a one-of-a-kind location in the world due to its unique characteristics.
Since 2014, we have been experimenting with aging in this exceptionally wine-friendly microclimate, which significantly enhances its organoleptic properties. We are proud to offer you the fruits of all our research.

Once again, made from Sangiovese grapes, this is an important wine that matures in barriques.
In Liguria, red wine is often considered secondary. Of course, we don’t see it that way. Instead, we believe that in a “Liguria, land of whites,” discussing red wine, reflecting on it, and improving its image and role is absolutely necessary and valuable.
We are confident that this red will pleasantly surprise you, revealing yet another hidden touch of magic from our beautiful region.

An atypical red wine, enriched by the addition of passito Granaccia, which gives it body and elegance. The blend also includes Merlot, Syrah, and Sangiovese, making it a sort of Ligurian Amarone…
The collaboration between Andrea Bruzzone and the Vinaccieri has resulted in this extraordinary wine, which requires a special ritual to be fully appreciated.
La "Barbera" – I Vinaccieri & Umberto Fia – 20,50
At the borders of Oltregiogo, the Vinaccieri have stocked up on Barbera, a bold and fiery grape variety—just like our dear Andrea!
One of the most widely grown red grape varieties in Italy, it boasts an intense ruby-red color. On the palate, it is floral, spicy, and full-bodied.
Barbaresco Rubrum – I Vinaccieri & Umberto Fia – 32,50
A spectacular Barbaresco that simply had to be part of the Vinaccieri’s quest. This wine also ages in bottles within the Masso mines, resting in a way that we will taste year after year, in an endless vertical journey.
With a dry yet consistently velvety and harmonious flavor, it offers a bouquet rich in red fruit aromas, with hints of violet, leather, tobacco, and cocoa.
Cyprium – I Vinaccieri & Umberto Fia – 28,50
From the southern Piedmont, in the lower areas of the Langhe, comes this Dogliani Superiore, made from 100% Dolcetto grapes. This region’s unique soils and climate allow the variety to reach its fullest expression.
On the nose, it offers fruity notes, with aromas of wild berries, summer fruits like cherries and blackcurrants. On the palate, Dogliani Superiore showcases elegance and drinkability, with a pleasant contrast of balsamic hints and a slightly almond-like finish.
